About The Band

Count’s 77 is truly a group of guys who grew up listening to the same type of music: a combination of rock n’ roll and R&B soul from the late 60’s and 70’s. The band came about completely by accident, organically forming when one night Danny, John, Barry, and Stoney happened to be on the same stage at the same time.

Danny "Count" Koker

Danny has always been involved in the music industry one way or another his entire life. His father, being a gospel musician, led Danny to the school choir and he became a gospel singer at a young age. The rock and roll of the 1970’s molded his deep passion as a musician: and mainly a lead singer.

Stoney Curtis

The name Stoney Curtis came from the cartoon character of the same name on the Flintstones. His main influences are Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robin Tower, Michael Schenker, and Ace Frehley.

John Zito

John started playing the guitar at the age of 13 and never looked back. From performing within the Hollywood circuit of the 1980’s, to playing the original scene of the 2000’s in Las Vegas, he has done it all. Through the years music has always been enlightening and therapeutic for him.

Barry Barnes

Barry is the “happiest man in showbusiness”. Always has a smile on his face and is never short on words. His main influences are Geddy Lee, John Paul Jones, John Entwhistle, Louis Johnson, Billy Sheehan, and Motown.

Jeff Tortora

Jeff began his career at the age of 5 in his parent’s basement by setting up a ‘custom’ drum kit, fashioned from buckets, metal lunch boxes, and tar cans.  In 1999 Jeff became an original member of the Blue Man Group Las Vegas.

Tommy Paris

Tommy is best known in the music industry for his diverseness. His passion for all things musical is brought to the forefront by the assortment of different instruments he has mastered. Not to mention his ability to harmonize and collaborate with any artist at any time.
